Mary, I've got something on the same loom at the moment (with the normal threaded rod rather than for delicas) and it started out a little wavy as well. It still is but has corrected itself quite significantly the more I have loomed. I have had other pieces look wavy on the loom but lay fine once cut off. So don't worry about that too much. I look forward to seeing this progress.

Donna, not picky picky, just...meticulous :) Look forward to seeing the final result.

Mary, The butterfly is finished as far as the loomwork goes, but I had to chase down some beads to use for the applied feelers, and I put them on in the "anatomically" correct position but artistically it looks wrong, so I'm taking them off and lowering them a tad......picky picky Donna. Since I am surface embellishing it, I have also considered adding a few small crystals to the thistle. Maybe, maybe not. I never get overly anxious to cut a project off the loom until I am sure it is "done"............Donna

Dear, Donna thanks for respond. I will keep going. I noticed, that some parts of the tapestry looks normal, and some wave. What I also think is that how you twist the thread around the nail is important, I mean, probably, it would not happen, If I would twist it in same direction for all warps, but I did change it from time to time.

The thing is that when I bought this loom, I asked to change the coils for the Delica coils, and they did put the Delica coils, meant for Delica beads, but the result as you see. They usually have a bigger size coils on this size loom.

How are you doing? Did you finish the Butterfly tapestry?

Mary, Width-ways waves will flatten when you remove it from the loom. That is happening because the spaces between warps is not quite equal to the size of the bead. As long as it doesn't get any worse than what it is now, it will flatten right out.

Keep going........looks pretty so far...........whooo hooo. Donna

Thanks for your comments. I was finally able to do it right - tight, as I thought, but then after I started my beading, I noticed, that I have waves on my work and I do not know if it is bad or does not matter. Do you have any idea? I am attaching the picture. Should I keep going or?

Sorry about the problems you had with warping the loom Mary. I don't think it should make a difference whether you warp with nymo or fireline. I had this problem with my homemade loom yesterday - it had 100 warps which had looming on them. I had to add a further 101 warps but found halfway through that the previous warps were loosening. It was because I was pulling the additions too tight, and the dowel with the nails was being pulled and loosening the old ones. Try and keep an even tension, as well as what Donna said of warping a little loosely then tightening the screws.

Hope it's all go second time round.
