"Annette, I hope someone in admin. will answer this for you, but my understanding of it is that the lifetime membership is like for BCP6, but not the version with the artwork. The artwork version is an extra fee, but that is for them to explain to…"
"Hazel, as long as you are coming out of Photoshop with a jpg file, flattening doesn't enter into this.
When you went to only six colors, did you discard the rest? In the color editor box one of the options is to discard unused colors.…"
"Hazel, I am more than happy to try to help you out, and in fact this IS the best software for bead design.........I looked at all that were available, tried them out and bought this one.
1) if you are saving in jpg format, the picture is…"
"Hazel, I had a problem similar to that once, the ultimate thing that worked is that I reworked my original picture in Photoshop and saved it with a DIFFERENT name. BCP should handle any jpg image in the direction you have saved it. When I went back…"
"Tina, a very good looking beadst indeed. If your uncle didn't like it, I'd think about disowning him...LOL. Glad you got it done and off in the mail as you had hoped. Monolithic is good sometimes, but I like smaller projects in between…"
"Judith, I actually believe that for hand beading, making up a 1" square is the best solution, especially for any project of a larger size. Beads may vary in size but what really determines our outcome is the type of thread, stitch, and our own…"
"Judith, not to bash Miyuki's site, but I use a digital micrometer and unless they have changed sizes (unlikely would be my guess) they are misreading their equipment. I will go to their site and have a look see, but it is possible that some web…"
I tried to make a pattern but it automatically added colors and there is too much green. I've just got BPC loaded into my computer and I'm trying to figure out how to get the palettes and create my own It's a learning curve but I like it
I joined up July 2006 so there. Hi Honey good to see you. I am finally back up and running and trying to learn this final version and love it. Really a great version, thanks for proding me to keep trying to get it squared away. Thanks,
Donna, thanks for the information. I'll get on it within the week; too many things on Monday and Tuesday. Hey ... I have a cousin in Ellensburg WA I may be visiting (depends on how quickly she gets back to me with a yes or no answer), but then will head down to Bend, and on to Plush (sunstone is there). If I'm within an hour's drive of you and your group, I could make a stop there, it wouldn't be anything to drive that. Here in AZ, I have a 300 mile r/t for many of my dr. appts.
Let me know.
Hope you and everyone else are having a happy Easter (where does the bunny fit in?). Yesterday, I saw a lady with a bumper sticker on her car that said "put Christ back in Christmas" so I said "and put Oestera back in Easter." She just stared at me. I get that a lot.
Dear Donna, Have a great place for you to go for Delica Beads and size 15 should you want - go to Whim Beads - you will find extremely good prices in the beads and they give 3 different price breakdowns on the number of tubes you order. In April of last year I went crazy and ordered over $400.00 worth of beads from them. They have some of the most beautiful beads I have ever seen and they really add to my beadwork. The other place I have found to have beautiful beads (but they run a bit more than Whim Beads so compare prices) is Caravan Beads. Have you posted any pictures of your work? I have recently designed a pattern to do Christmas ornament in memory of my belove Rottweiler, Sandee, who I lost in December of last year - she was my beloved companion from the time she was 7 weeks old until 12 years - I feel like a ship without its rudder. Do your friends still live in my area? Always Barb
Dear Donna, Thank you so much for the compliment. I truly love beading and it is something I have been doing as a business for 16 years now. I have had a few people ask me if I sell my patterns - for my medallion work I let the beads talk to me as I go - I never draw anything out for them. I sometimes create earring patterns on paper and then modify as I work them. Where in Oregon do you live Donna? Do you ever buy from Baker Bay Beads in Dorena, OR? They are really good people to deal with - I primarily work in size 15 beads and purchase them, Japanese needles, nymo thread (big spools) and Thread Heaven from them mostly - they have really good prices. Check them out. I live out in the woods near Yosemite National Park (I am Miwok/Chukchansi descent). Would love to hear back. Have a wonderful day. Always, Barb
