There are great tutorials/manual for everything except the publishing features of BC. I have downloaded, printed, read, studied all those and have made quite good friends with the program EXCEPT for the publishing part. Oh well, I'm taking a deep br…

I confess to not knowing if there is an actual manual on the BCP4 publishers which is what I am using. You may like to send a note to Andrew about that. I do know that there is a folder in My Documents (Windows app the one before Vista) called Books…

You all are so great! Forums here are always so much more informative/supportive and positive in general. I have to confess to a rather low frustration level I guess - too impatient! I agree with not controlling anything once the pattern is theirs,…

Thanks, Donna, for the compliment but partly that is taking care of my own blood pressure, ha ha. I do love that idea of "Art Karma" and you know that is true enough. I have found that it is so much easier and healthier to do right than to go sneak…

Lynne, Thanks for my Monday AM giggle. Art Karma it is.........there always has been and always will be people who have no remorse in taking what is not theirs to take. There is an official name for them. Art Karma is a much better way of dealing wi…

I subscribe to "Art Karma." I have a statement on all my patterns that says they may not be sold and ask for credit for the design if the items are sold. I haven't the energy or means to follow up on any of that. I just think that if you steal stuff…

Georgia, we were writing at about the same time I guess. I didn't see your response when I responded. I agree..........and basically my statement says the same thing on my website. Once someone purchases the pattern I do not feel (unlike others) th…

Hi Doreen, I have set up a shop in the hope that I will be able to use etsy as an avenue to sell my creations. Although, due to breaking my wrist just before christmas I am not yet back to beading. I am also interested in buying as I am always after the best price for delica beads. I am loyal to delica. They are the only bead I use.

I have heard about snow being bad in the upper states from washington to the northeast. I have a cousin in Maine and she has had tons of snow.
I guess I shouldn't complain about my weather. It is crazy weather here, the saying here is "In Missouri if you don't like the weather wait a day and it will change." And change it has done, we will have a week or two of down right cold weather, next week we are in the 60's that for a couple of days then a strong wind comes through and we are in the freezer again, Not much snow, just teeth chattering cold. but like you Spring (my favorite time of year, along with fall) is not that far away.
Summer is not good for me either I can't get out in the hot humid weather either, I have lung problems that stop me from enjoying summer or winter.
I love beading Peyote, and any stitching, I am learning a lot of different kinds at our little bead shop, we have great owners and we have some great teachers, some that come in and teach classes.
This is such a wonderful site, so glad that andrew and gang set this up for us.
Hoping to get to know you all.

Although I've lived lots of places, the five years my husband and I spent in Missoula while he was getting his PhD were wonderful. That was over 30 years ago and things have certainly changed. We stopped in Missoula last summer and looked for (and found) all the apartments we lived in. The town certainly has grown.

You live in a state I would love to visit someday, IN THE SUMMER.
I am not a lover of cold. But I do Love to look at Gods masterpiece, the earth, sky and water.

I live in the north side of Kansas City, Not really in the city itself but a suburb, we moved up north, but it to is getting crowded with people and buildings, removing the trees to put up concrete.

I love beading, and now making my own designs, not to good yet but I hope someday to be almost as good as some of these people on this site.

Take care

Thanks, Doreen. My parrot is Chloe - she's a 12-year-old Umbrella Cockatoo who is very lovable and who can be very loud. I should've named her Velcro!

Hello Doreen,
Wow, your son lives wayyyyy to the east of me! I live in Wasilla, the in-famous little town that Saraha Palin is from. I've been to Chitina but didn't continue on to McCarthy, road was really dusty and rough,
didn't want to have to replace a windshield, LOL. But what a historic place to live, it's so pretty there. Are you planning to build the cabin
close to your son's place?
A little about me, I'm 65+, married, 5 kids, 4 step kids, been beading since I was about 9 years old, under the watchful eye of my grandmother who was 1/2 native american. Over the years, between kids, jobs and such, I managed to keep my beading interests alive so that when I retired I could spend the rest of my "golden" years beading, HA! Seems like I'm busier now than when I worked. But I started, recently, a little bead business from home called "Beads and me" I don't have a website up yet, working on that, I mainly sell my jewelry at local craft shows and do speciality pieces requested by customers. So there it is in a nut shell, hope your holiday was a happy one. Feel free to email anytime, happy to hear from you.

Good day Doreen.
Billings is the hub for about a 500 mile area and that is why I am here. Been a wander a good deal of my life, but decided it was time to come home and be closer to family (WY). All I can say is oh darn, bet you miss all that concrete :) and welcome to Montana! As for local beaders, I don't know of any as I have been away from my artwork for many years, but we are right next door to the Crow Nation and they Cheyenne Nation just over to the east, and they are marvelous beaders. Have you been to Cody, to the Plains Indian Museum yet?
