Joan Thanks for the info on where I could find the pattern. It happens that I aready have 2 of Suzanne Coopers Books, but didn't realize this was one of her's. I am going to get her E-Pattern book. No, It would not have been right for you to give or sell it to me, but I am happy to know where I =ncan get it.

You did a beautiful job on the piece you did.

Thanks again Marcia

Thank you for adding me as a friend, I cannot wait to see your beadwork that Joanne Whitefeather gave you praise for. Once you get uses to the site it is quite easy to navigate, if you have questions I will do my best to help.

Dear Joan, Haven't heard back from you and so hoping that everything is OK at your end - hopefully you are really busy with your business. Things coming along at this end. Take care and hope to hear from you when possible. Always, Barb

Hi Joan. Sorry it has taken me a bit to respond. I now have to take care of my mom on pretty much a daily basis so am not always home during the day and I have been coming home and crashing soon after, lol. I live on 10 acres with my son at the beginning of the drive and my mom and I up further on the hill. My mom fell on the 10th of December and was in the hospital and rehab and now is at my son's - I take care of her during the day and they at night. I really enjoyed hearing about where you live - have a friend who is familiar with your area. Your home business sounds great - I have always been a cowgirl, lol - used to do endurance riding some time back but am not able to ride due to a hip which I broke in 4 places and now it is about totally deteriorated. I just look at my saddles with longing. Today I stoped at the house down the road which has taken in 2 horses which were picked up by Animal Rescue as they were being neglected. I took them some carrots which they very much enjoyed. I had asked my neighbor if it was OK and he said sure, they need all the care they can get. One is a small Arab and the other is a Paint. I don't live in as a remote area as you, but we still sometimes travel to the "big city" to do some major shopping, lol. Take care and hope to get to chat sometime soon - have to go do some paperwork now and really need to try and find some time with the beads. Have a wonderful evening. Barb

Dear Joan, so glad yo posted a picture, lol. Knew there must be a reason I wrote to you. I have always been a horse person since the time I was knee high to a grasshopper, lol. Did endurance riding on my Appy and Arab before moving here to Mariposa. The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man, but I believe that of all animals. Take care and have a great day. I have an old neighbor who lives in Lincoln - is that close to Granite Bay? Do you live in the country? I live on 10 acres 40 miles from Yosemite which is my ancestral homeland. Always Barb

Dear Joan - I understand about carbs, lol. I don't like laptop keyboards, lol. Hang in there you will get it all worked out. We will chat as we can. I am sitting here going through paper work, yuk. Barb

Dear Joan - town of 50! LOL, that is small. My town of Mariposa has a population of about 2000.00 and this July when we had a major fire here we had 4000 firefighters in it. 30 of my neighbors lost everything and we had to evacuate our home and was out of it for about 2 weeks - the most devastating thing. It took me months to get my house back in order as everything was packed up when insurance company came in and cleaned. I do business as Treasure by Barbara and the majority of my work is sold in the Indian Museum in Yosemite. I hope you get to go there as it truly is a beautiful spot - it is one of the crown jewels in the Park System. I will try and post some pictures for you to see. We still hold our ceremonies in the village behind the museum and we are in the process of building a new village site so we will have more privacy during our ceremonies. I too had originally downloaded the free program and wasn't happy with it - I bought the program from Amazon last year. I have been toying with the idea of getting the version 4 but will wait a bit - someday I hope to publish a book on beading tips. My friend, Deb Lazaris, sells patterns she creates but I don't have any desire to do that. Hope to chat more with you. Take care. Barb
